The 2024 Clothesline Project

  • Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Library 901 G Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

As part of National Crime Victims' Rights Week (NCVRW), Network for Victim Recovery of DC will be hosting the Clothesline Project on Friday, April 26 from 3pm-6pm at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in their 5th Floor Event Space.

The Clothesline Project is a visual display of t-shirts created by survivors of crime in order to bring awareness to the impact of violence and to honor survivors. The color of each shirt represents a different type of violence. These shirts will then be part of a larger collection that can grow from year to year.

In addition to the space for survivors to create, there will also be other activities for survivors to participate in, and space for our community partners to provide resources to attendees.

This event is open to the public and there is no RSVP required; we hope you will join us in spreading the word with survivors and community members about this event. We are looking forward to seeing you all there!
