Alicia J. Paller

Alicia J. Paller is a privacy and cybersecurity litigator at Hogan Lovells, in Washington, DC. She regularly represents survivors of violent crimes in civil and criminal court, often co-counseling with NVRDC. Alicia explains, “I am continuously grateful for NVRDC’s critical role in improving survivors’ experiences—from the hospital, to the courtroom, to the home. I am excited and humbled by the opportunity to join NVRDC’s Board.”

Keri Potts

Keri Potts is known for her work as a victims advocate and a national anti-sexual violence and TEDx speaker and presenter, having chronicled her own assault and international prosecution of her attacker in 2008 for Marie Claire, the Travel Channel and Discovery ID, and at her long-running blog www.afightbackwoman.com. She is the President of the Board for Pathways to Safety International, the only US organization to provide comprehensive services and assistance to Americans sexually assaulted or abused abroad. In addition, for the past seven years, she has served as a victims advocate at her local rape crisis center.

In her day job, Potts is an award-winning communications professional with 21 years of experience that include Nike, the NCAA, ESPN - where she worked for more than 17 years, as senior director, communications, overseeing the college sports division – and the Institute for Women’s Policy Research as vice president, external affairs. 

In 2020, she was named a PRWeek ‘Woman to Watch’ and was ESPN’s 2017 Volunteer of the Year. In 2016, she was named to PRWeek’s 40 Under 40 list. Also, she trains and guides the company on topics of sexual and interpersonal violence and co-created the news and editorial teams’ first violence language guide.

Potts was co-captain of the Syracuse University women’s volleyball team, the 1999 female athlete of the year and remains its first and only first-team Academic All-American, graduating with her B.S. and M.S. from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. In 2019, Syracuse granted her its LetterWinner of Distinction Award, the highest honor bestowed on former athletes for their work on and off the field of play.
